Shortstop Edgar Renteria had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Chicago Colts
defeated the Nimrod Numnuts 8 to 1 at Numnuts Bowl.
 
In the top of the 4th inning Chicago went on top for good scoring 3 runs on 5
hits.  Ryan Freel led off and keyed the rally when he delivered a base-hit.
Jason Kendall was next and he slapped a single.  Renteria then lashed a
single driving in a run.  David Dejesus followed and he lined a base-hit
driving in one more runner.  Bernie Williams stepped into the box and
grounded into a double play.  Jose Bautista contributed to the rally and
laced a base-knock scoring the final run of the inning.  Chicago out-hit
Nimrod for the game, 12 hits to 4.  
 
Kenny Rogers(15-8) got the win allowing 1 run in 6 innings. Rogers got relief
help from Saul Rivera who gained credit for his 2nd save.  Gustavo
Chacin(3-2) was tagged with the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
